Upper Playground Book- 'Ten Years of T-Shirt Graphics'

I'm featured in Upper Playground's awesome new book, 'Ten Years of T-Shirt Graphics'. Upper Playground is one of my all time favourite brands and concepts that I'm proud to have worked with. I first visited their store in San Francisco in 2001.

In the ten years since it was launched, Upper Playground has produced influential documentaries, published artists’ books, opened stores and galleries, and produced apparel, housewares and accessories, all based on designs from artists across the globe.

Artists featured in Ten Years of T-Shirt Graphics include Jeremy Fish, Sam Flores, Dalek, Cody Hudson, Grotesk, Jeremyville, Maya Hayuk, Retna, Dave Ellis, David Choe, Estevan Oriol, Mars-1, Andy Mueller, Greg “Craola” Simkins, GIANT, Paul Insect, Basco, Munk One, Saber, Marok, Cycle, Alex Pardee, Phase 2, Revolt, Anthony Lister, Masa, Ricky Powell, Tiffany Bozic, Herbert Baglione, and many, many more.

Thanks to Eddie from T-World Journal for sending the pics.

Made & Sold Vol.2

I'm in this new book called 'Made and Sold', by FL@33, published by Laurence King UK. It's about artists who produce their own products.

Over and Over

(a catalog of hand drawn patterns)

Following on from his successful book on hand drawn type called Hand Job, that I saw at the MOCA store in in LA, Mike Perry brings us another great book, that I'm really proud to be involved in.

I have 6 pages in there, along with Stefan Marx, Kimou Meyer (Grotesk), Yokoland, Gluekit, Struggle Inc., Deanne Cheuk, Marco Cibola, Ben Weeks, Jason Gnewikow, Mike Perry, Justin Fines, Yuko Shimizu, and a really talented list of others.

The book is definitely worth having in your design book collection, as it shows a diversity of hand created work and how it can push the boundaries of what is possible within the realm of patterns and all over graphics.

You can get it at Mike's site below. Awesome work Mike.
